What a joy to share the video of Kara's memorial service. When we planned it so many months ago, Kara told me that she wanted it to be all about Jesus--that she wanted anyone who attended to hear about God's great love for His children. She delighted in selecting the men who would share and in what capacity they would participate. She did an amazing job--from the first words Jonathan speaks to Carl's benediction, Jesus is celebrated within the beautiful context of Kara's life. I know she would have loved this service, and I am so grateful for our friends who made this possible.

I’d like to thank those of you who watched the streaming of Kara’s memorial service. We will post the video of the service as soon as it’s available to us. It was a beautiful, meaningful time of worship, celebrating, and grieving with others who loved Kara, although I admit that I remember very little of it now. I think I was overwhelmed by emotion. The one part I do remember is the poetry reading by Kara’s good friend and editor at David C. Cook, John Blase. It was spectacular and breathtaking. I asked John for permission to share it with our friends today. Enjoy.
